Mystical Moves: Props, Zills and Veil

Explore the enchanting world of belly dance props. This class introduces basic zill techniques, movement dirlls specific to belly dance, and incorporates the allure of dancing with a Cane (Assaya) as well as the grace of a veil. Suitable for all levels, offering a unique blend of skill development and artistry.

May 18: Yoga to Improve Immune Hardiness
will involve a sampling of short lectures from Dr. Kane on what the immune system is, and how it works, as well as a series of yoga moves designed to improve blood flow to the immune organs which may help stave off an impending cold or flu, as well as provide long term hardiness against inevitable exposure to germs.

Volleyball skills with Coach Chris Green, former UAA Volleyball coach and Morgan Hooe who is a current assistant VB coach at UAA. Shoulder strengthening and plyometric conditioning with Stacey Ledgerwood, personal trainer at West.

Learn Martial Arts training using the Shotokan Karate methods for punches, kicks and fight sequences. $25 for members, $50 for non-members. Register at the front desk or with the link below.

Juneau based Dr. Emily Kane will lead a series of yoga workshops for digestion, reducing arthritis pain, and improving your immune system. Preregistration is strongly recommended.

Let's rev up the metabolism all while we are rocking out to the beat in our headphones. You'll be coached through 2 cardio interval sections with 1 section of strength training in between the cardio rounds. This layout will get the heart pumping and the calories burning. Appropriate for all fitness levels - you can walk, jog or run. Headphones are provided.

Treadmill workout using intervals of work followed by intervals of active recovery set to an upbeat playlist. You can walk, jog or run as you are in control of your pace and incline. You'll hear your coach through the Sound Off headsets (provided). Perfect for all fitness levels.
