Ready or not, Winter Break is upon us! If you’re worried that your kids will be bored, fear not. The Alaska Club has plenty of activities to keep your kids happy, healthy, and active while school’s out.

Our Winter Fun Camp runs December 23-27 and December 30-January 3 (closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) from 9am to 4pm. Our camp, which was voted Platinum status in 2024’s Best of Alaska competition, is offered at our South, East, Eagle River, and Fairbanks South locations. New this year – campers at our South and Fairbanks clubs will have daily jump time at Fly Trampoline Park!

This winter’s camp theme is “We Got Game” with fun board game activities using Connect 4, Sorry, and Chutes and Ladders. We’ll also have STEAM projects, a movie and pajama day, arts & crafts, sports, daily swimming, and more! South and Eagle River campers can play in the splash park during their pool time while East and Fairbanks campers will have fun zipping down the slides! No matter which location your child attends camp, they’re sure to meet new friends. Our campers come from all around town, members and non-members alike. The camp is for children ages 5-12 years old; single day and full week options are available. Learn more and register at www.thealaskaclub.com/camps.

The Alaska Club’s Playcenters are another fun choice for children ages 6 weeks to 9 years old. The kids can get their energy out under the watchful eye of our caring staff while you get in a workout, group fitness class, swim, or a relaxing sauna session. Reservations can be made on our website at www.thealaskaclub.com/kidsplaycenters.

Thinking about swim lessons? Swimming is not only great exercise but it’s also an important life skill. The Alaska Club’s Starfish Academy offers a wide range of classes for all ages and skill levels. Group lessons go to age 16 – there’s even a swim team option. Learn more about our swimming programs and how to register at www.thealaskaclub.com/starfish-academy-swim-lessons.

If you’re celebrating a birthday or just want to have a fun get together with friends, the club offers several party packages including Playcenter Parties, Pool Parties with The Gauntlet – a floating, inflatable obstacle course, and parties at our popular South Splash Pad! Visit www.thealaskaclub.com/parties to start planning your next celebration.

Keeping your family engaged over winter break is easy when you turn to The Alaska Club. Going to the gym doesn’t always have to be ‘working out.’ Taking your kids to an open swim, to shoot hoops, or to play a game of pickleball are fun ways to spend quality time together during the busy holiday season.

From our family to yours, we wish you a very happy and healthy Winter Break!
