Frequently Asked Tanning Questions
How long should I tan for?
If it is your first time, we recommend starting small and building your way up. For the first time, don’t tan more than five minutes. Following that, gauge your body’s response and go from there.
What should I have on my skin?
Use indoor tanning lotions only. These lotions are made specifically to be used in beds and stand ups. These lotions are designed to help accelerate the tanning process and help keep your tan.
Can I wear normal lotion or sunscreen? What about makeup?
Do NOT use regular lotion or outdoor sunscreen. These items will cause a film on the bed and produce a poor tan. It is also recommended to remove makeup before tanning.
Do I need to wear protective eyewear?
YES! The eyes are extremely sensitive, and as we know, looking into any bright light, like the sun, can damage them. Although it seems like closing your eyes will be good enough, eyelids are too thin to block out UV light. Prior to tanning, please ask the front desk for eye protection. We have free eye stickers, or goggles for purchase.
Can I tan while pregnant?
Although there is no official stance on tanning while pregnant, you should do so with caution and consult your doctor first. The main thing is not to overheat!
