Disinfectants & Single-Use Sanitation Wipes

We use cleaning products and protocols which meet CDC guidelines, they're approved for use and are effective against viruses, bacteria, and other airborne pathogens. Disinfectants are available throughout the club for member and staff use.

Enhanced Disinfecting Procedures

High touch surfaces will be regularly cleaned each hour using a combination of large-scale sanitation systems:

  • Electrostatic Spraying & Fogging Systems use a technology that helps ensure all surfaces are disinfected
  • Air Scrubbing installations use air purification systems located in the HVAC ductwork transforming oxygen and water molecules into oxidizers and destroying 99% of all surface and airborne contaminants
  • Motion-Activated Technology limits touch-points throughout the club

Cleaning & Sanitation

In addition to strict adherence to CDC cleaning protocols, we invested in new sanitation technologies:

  • We are using a range of industrial grade products that are registered with EPA and proven to be effective against viruses
  • We created a detailed cleaning regime to ensure all surfaces and high touch points are wiped down hourly
  • Sanitation solution sprayers are being used on all touch-points in the club throughout the day, such as cardio machines, strength equipment, computers, door handles and the front desk area. These easy-to-use devices emit a fine mist of disinfectant onto hard surfaces eliminating the need to wipe the surface after spraying.
  • Electrostatic Sprayers are cutting edge technology using an electrostatic-charged disinfect to sanitize hard surfaces using a hand-held sprayer. The touchless electrostatic technology allows the disinfectant to “wrap around” surfaces, such as gym equipment.
  • Biological Fogging machines emit small particles of sanitizing material into the air which bond to surfaces while killing bacteria and viruses and on surfaces to disinfect. At TAC, our fogging machines use a solution proven to eliminate harmful microorganisms. This process is non-toxic and leaves no chemical residue. Fogging will be conducted weekly.
  • Air Scrubbing was installed in HVAC ductwork at our clubs. This is a technology whereby microscopic oxygen and water molecules in the air enter the purification unit and pass through a matrix that transforms them into powerful oxidizers. Once released, they act as a supercharged purification system destroying 99% of all surface and airborne contaminants. This technology has been used at NASA.
  • Personal sanitation supplies are available throughout the club and in each functional area for use by members and employees
  • Hand sanitizer is available for member and employee use through the club.  All hand sanitizer contains the CDC recommend alcohol percentage, proven to be effective to kill viruses.

IconsHow Members Can Help

Through member cooperation, we can provide the highest quality experience.

  • Wash your hands when you arrive – this is the easiest way to help prevent the spread of germs
  • Respect the space of those around you by maintaining social distance
  • Clean equipment after use with your own personal spray bottle provided at check-in
  • Stay at home if you are sick or have symptoms
  • Face covering are highly encouraged and are available for purchase in the pro shop
  • Be flexible. Things change often. We will do our best to adjust as the city and state issue more guidelines.

Membership Dues

QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR MEMBERSHIP

We are happy to announce that The Alaska Club will open clubs in Juneau, Fairbanks (South Fairbanks only initially), Wasilla and Palmer on Wednesday, May 13th.  Clubs in Anchorage/Eagle River (not including the Jewel Lake/Studio/Downtown locations) will open on Friday, May 15th.   All members will have access to the opened locations on those dates after 11 am.

Due to the timing of state and local closure mandates, we were required to temporarily suspended club access after member dues were charged in March.   In order to account for the closed period in March, all members will not be billed for club access for the last two weeks of May.  All billing will resume June 1st, which includes membership dues, Membership Plus, Good Life, Personal Training and other recurring costs.

  1. Members who chose option one during the closure will receive a half month credit in June as billing for May has already been applied/processed.
  2. Members who elected to choose option two will receive their gift cards via e-mail in early June.

No action is necessary on your part to reactivate your membership.

For questions about your account, call (907) 330-0102 or email accounting@thealaskaclub.com
