Commitment to Our Employees and Community

Because of the generosity of our members, we were able to provide various levels of compensation to our employees through the closure.  We are proud of the way our community banded together to get through this rough time.

  • Our team handmade over 500 masks during the closure to distribute to all employees after opening.
  • Our team was able to set-up a virtual studio, even handmade a green screen, within a couple of days after closure to bring a variety of free class formats to the communities in and outside of Alaska.
  • We compensated our employees for their time to work on The Children’s Lunchbox program. Our team:
    • Packed over 3000 pantry boxes
    • Delivered hundreds of meal boxes to storage for Bean’s Café

  • Many instructors quickly set-up in-home studios to provide virtual classes via Zoom and Facebook Live
  • Our Operations staff deep-cleaned, sanitized, and prepared the clubs for reopening. This included conducting significant repairs to equipment and structures, installing new flooring, painting and updating the companies network and systems connectivity

 Community Partnerships

  • We created a campaign to Started a matching fund up to $10,000 in donations for The Children’s Lunchbox program.
  • Allocated funds to promote the Children’s Lunchbox program in Anchorage.
