Scott is a former slope worker for many years, working hard day-in and day-out. He was always very active in both life and work. Over a year ago, Scott was involved in a tragic car accident that left him with several serious injuries, including broken legs, a fractured skull, internal bleeding and a severe brain injury. After undergoing numerous surgeries (that cost upwards of $2 million), Scott was released from the hospital.
Through the help of his therapist, Scott has been working hard to train himself to walk again with a walker and cane. It’s only been one year, but he has been able to walk 60 steps on his own! His family and girlfriend have been both his support system and motivation. The road to recovery is a long one. It could take up to 5-years for Scott to fully regain his ability to walk again. With every passing day, Scott is gaining strength and maintains a positive outlook on life that is truly admired!
Well done, Scott! Keep it up from all of us at The Alaska Club.
