Hot, cold, rest, and repeat. If you haven’t yet experienced the new Nordic Spa at The Alaska Club, then you’re missing one of the best benefits of your membership. This incredible retreat, located at The Alaska Club East, is free to all Gold and Platinum members age 21+. If your membership allows you to work out at more than one of our staffed clubs, then you are a Gold Member. If you work out at The Summit and have access to all other clubs, then you are a Platinum member. Whether you want to enjoy a full 90-minute session or a quick cold plunge after a workout, the Nordic Spa at The Alaska Club is a fantastic amenity that is free for members.
Benefits of Nordic Therapy
The Alaska Club’s new Nordic Spa is a holistic experience built around traditional contrast therapy of moving through cycles of heat, cold, and rest. It’s the perfect reward after strength training, cardio, outdoor adventures, or when you simply need a rest day built into your regular workout routine. You will leave feeling refreshed and balanced from head to toe.

What does each cycle do for you?
The heat phase, whether it’s from one of the hot tubs, salt stone sauna, or steam room, will warm your body, relax tight muscles, and improve circulation.
The cold phase with two choices of cold plunges — cold and colder — will invigorate and reset your body, reducing inflammation.
After your cold plunge, it’s time to rest. You can choose between the spa’s large, warm relaxation pool, resting in a chair by the cozy firepit, or lounging in the spa’s relaxation room. The relaxation room has a water fountain, so it’s the perfect spot to hydrate, rest, and prepare for your next cycle. It’s recommended that you repeat the hot, cold, rest sequence several times for optimal results.
Who can use the Nordic Spa?
All Gold and Platinum Members aged 21+ can use the spa. Need a date night? Many couples enjoy having time together in this quiet space. Members with children can drop off their kids to have fun in the Playcenter at The Alaska Club East while using the spa. Looking for a new happy hour? Meet your friends at the spa instead of the bar! You can invite friends who aren’t members as well for a guest fee.
There are many reasons to take advantage of the new Nordic Spa at The Alaska Club, free for members to use up to three times per week. Walk-ins are also available; just ask at the front desk.
